¡°Good: the Asian
Caesar salad, sliced ripe tomatoes with
vinaigrette dressing, watercress salad,
fried dumplings, sauteed green beans, leek
pancakes, potato pancakes, battered zucchini
slices, salmon sushi, ell sushi, vegetarian
sushi (spinach and cheese) and the thick
slices of fresh oranges and pineapple.
Noteworthy: baked salmon fillet with teriyaki
sauce (the full fish was beautifully cooked
and tasty) and the tempura vegetables (with
a light, nongreasy coating).
They¡¯re all served in a sleek, minimalist,
airy environment that has the best ambience
of any buffet spot I¡¯ve seen. The aisles
are wide, so it doesn¡¯t seem crowded, and
the curved interior walls complement the
tall outside walls of glass. You¡¯d never
know the Westgate Theater once occupied
this spot.
That, and the menu¡¯s stronger dishes, are
reasons to dine at Buffet
Palace, where the pans are restocked
so frequently there¡¯s no danger of missing
an item if you bypass it on your first go-through.¡±
